THE ORGANISATION

History

MVTCDC was created in 1999 as a community-based organization committed to liberating local residents from oppression, both social and economic. The founder, Asha K. Mshana, is a retired home-economics teacher who decided to take advantage of her experience and her skills to support vulnerable groups. The centre has grown and developed to welcome 71 students this year.

Mission

MVTCDC is a sustainable organization striving to empower community members – both youths and adults – by cultivating skills that will promote social and economic change.

The main objectives of the MVTCDC project are:

As the community evolves, Mkombozi advances along side it and the programs are constantly progressing and adapting to ensure that together they address the current needs of the community and continue to empower its members.
